Ingredients
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- A pinch of freshly cracked black pepper
- 4 slices plain pound cake (or plain homemade cake)
Method
Mix the strawberries, vinegar, and black pepper in a wide bowl and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Heat a non-stick pan (if you don’t have one, drizzle a few drops of oil over your everyday pan). Add the cake slices to the pan and heat until they caramelise and turn golden. Transfer the cake slices to plates, spoon over the strawberry sauce, and serve. Enjoy!
